BOREAL and the CESARS team from CNES have joined forces to demonstrate the feasibility of piloting the optronic camera of the ISR drone from a site remote from the field of operation, via satellite communication.
The image from the camera and its control were successfully transmitted by satellite link to the BOREAL team present on the CNES site, who were able to operate the optronic camera remotely.
This mission, which turned out to be a success, opens up new perspectives in the field of maritime surveillance!
Indeed, the performance of the BOREAL drone makes it a system particularly suited to the needs of surveillance in the maritime domain. The integration of satellite communication systems makes it possible to best exploit the potential of the BOREAL drone.
